It would take a superhero to fit the jigsaw of life together.

Do you think that :

       /7\
      (_//

is enough to denote superman. In this font, the top of the 7 neatly
joins the two slashes, and the curved 7 gives the feel of an S. It
looks like the shadow of S has been drawn. Does it look ok in other
fonts?

It's my recollection that Superman's logo is on his chest, not his cape.
Here is my alteration of your "It would take a superhero to fit the
jigsaw of life together."

          .-.
         ( )
     _____) (___
    ( /
     \.-. (_.-.
     _ | |
     )`-' __ |`._/
   .' ( ) \
   `- m`.' `-m'
     /| |\
     \`. _ .'/
      \ )(_)(_/
       \ \ `.
       | ) \
        `( )
         )\ (
        / ,\.-. \
       /, \`='
      / ) ( \

As to the logo, I can't seem to improve upon yours in only two lines.

Here are my tries:

5 lines:
 _______
/('___`'\
\ ,___))/
  \ _ /
    V

4 lines:
        __
      / (` \
       \,)/
        \/

3 lines:
       ___
      /(` \
       \)/

2 lines:
