It reminded me of a Corydora, (a fresh water tropical fish native to
Sth. America). I've slightly diddled to make it look like that more so. 
They are quite small fish, so the above pic is about actual size. They
use their front vertical 'whiskers' to find food on the river bed. Their 
mouths are located behind the whiskers, on the under-side of the body. 
Google images will bring up lots of images of them.
