I honestly don't want to get involved in this "debate", but I would indeed like to know where your earlier contact with ascii art was. Before I got on Usenet, my exposure to ascii art (other than the very simple kind) was mostly in (Amiga) BBS ascii scene. There even the smallest and simplest of the logos I've seen - little more that what you'd get from FIGLet - were always signed, and *no-one* would dare remove the initials. I don't know where you've been, but all in all this ng probably has a larger percentage of the pics unsigned than any other place I've seen. -- __,,,------._ ,-/| `-.
