Not a big update - only a little bit of new stuff from me,
but I've added two more categories, including a section
on my favourite pieces by other ppl. :-) And a some
'sail-through' typw links for the ascii pages :-)

Veel succes! And welcome to a wonderful language - even if most people
(including me) are not able to spell it right because the rules were
changed just a few months ago... (Grumble mumble.. arghh!!)

The famous Dutch 'pannekoek'. It exists no longer. Somebody decided the
word wasn't right and made it 'pannenkoek' $-( I guess the only people
who know how to spell now are the teachers in elementary school, and if
they are doing their jobs right, the six to twelve year olds they teach.
(And why do my circles suck the way they do..)

Yeah, a dialect called Deutsch (with apologies to German readers :-)

As you see, I drew freely from your signature, Pete's mouse (it is now on a

Ich weiss, der Brauch ist nicht nagelneu aber manche machen das noch immer.
Zum Beispiel, es wird noch hier in der Uni gemacht von den Kantinedamen wenn
es etwas gefeiert wird und sie die Leckerbisse (ich hoffe das ist das richtige
Wort) machen muessen. Aber die Musik von den 60ern and 70ern wird auch wieder
populaer, also warum nicht diese Fahnen? :-) (*)

I know, it isn't very modern anymore but some people still do it. For instance,
the canteen ladies in the university over here still do this when there is
something to be celebrated and they have to prepare snacks. But music from the
sixties and seventies is becoming popular again, so why not these miniature
flags?

I don't know what heideroosjes language is, but we have been mixing and
matching English, Nederlands and Deutsch in this thread,
and the large gene pool resulted in a beautiful, new language which lends
itself well to ascii poetry, see this poem in AngloDutchDeutsch.
