I downloaded both of these. figlet2p0.lha is a working Amiga version
of Figlet. The same version I've been using for some time. But
figlet2.1.1.lzh is a text file that uudecodes into figlet21.lzh which
decompresses into an ST version of Figlet. Or at least so say the docs.
As for the one in your Atari directory, I didn't attempt to deal with as
I have no idea what to do with a xxxx.tgz file. I've worked with xxxx.gz
files that have been compressed with GNUzip, but .tgz is a new one on me.
From figlet.2.1.1.lzh:

OK, here is how the Figlet folder at the Scarecrow's FTP looks:
drwxr-xr-x 2 boba ftp-admi 2048 Sep 23 10:12 Fonts
drwxr-xr-x 2 boba ftp-admi 512 Sep 7 04:06 Utilities
-rw-r--r-- 1 boba ftp-admi 30387 Sep 7 04:12 figlet-amiga-2p0.lha
-rw-r--r-- 1 boba ftp-admi 76841 Sep 23 18:16 figlet-atarist.lzh
-rw-r--r-- 1 boba ftp-admi 55429 Sep 7 04:11 figlet-msdos.zip.uu
-rw-r--r-- 1 boba ftp-admi 87311 Sep 7 04:10 figlet-unix.tar.Z
The first two are folders, and the rest are Figlet programs. I think
this is correct now. If it is not, tell me, and I'll fix it.
What I should probably do is go through all my FTP folders, and make
sure everything is either plain text or uuencoded. This way, people
without FTP can use FTP mail servers. It'll be necessary anyway when the
automation is set up here.

So, there's really no need for it to be uuencoded. BTW: You should put uuencoding into your automation... alot less work. :-) -- ___ ________ _________ _________ Over the bridge, through the router / _ \/_ __/ / / / ___/ //_/ __/ _ \ Nothin' but Net! _/ , _/_/ /_/ /_/ / /__/ ,< / _// , _/-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- /_/|_| /_/ \____/\___/_/|_/___/_/|_| Ryan Tucker, rtu...@worf.infonet.net http://www.infonet.net/showcase/rtucker ~~~~ ~~~~~~' ~~~~~~~~~~~~'~~~~~~~'~~~ -=-=-=-=-=- October 24th - It's time! Thanks. .tgz is just shorthand for .tar.gz (probably invented by someone using ms-D'OH!s 8.3 filenames) if your tar command supports it, -z will gunzip a file on the fly: tar -zxvf xxxx.tgz will do the trick. otherwise, mv xxxx.tgz xxxx.tar.gz gunzip xxxx.tar tar -xvf xxxx.tar Probably don't need all the fiddling with filenames, just said it to make sure...
