how do you create ascii pictures?

is there some sort of program?? (eg. give it a picture, and it spits out the
ascii picture)

there are programs that can do that but none of the ones i've tried
have a neural interface
try using a 'text editor' (with a fixed-width font) and using your
fingers to tap the keys on your keyboard
