i want to learn

to everyone who has posted their really cool pictures
i have no knwoledge of ascii art but i want to learn how to do simple
drawings can anyone help me?

Take a look at the ascii art on various pages. Look at how
they applied the charachters. Try a few simple things.
If you like how it turned out, post it. Also read the FAQ
go to some of the links they are very helpful.

Joan helped me touch up my first couple of ASCII pictures. The main
thing is to work on making them and then go back and re-work them as
you learn more. 

Here are my ASCIIs and a link to the Sig-List if you would like some
help with your own. Its a quiet list, we'd be glad to see everything
you're working on. :)

looks just like my idea of Walden :-) I diddled one of the trees, it
might be too font dependent, though.  I'm using Lucida Typewriter.
