I posted a few weeks ago about a program that I've written which will
convert a bitmap file into ASCII art... if anyone is still interested, it's
now been moved to www.btinternet.com/~richard.asbury/ascii/ascii.html
It's only a 63k download, so give it a look if you're interested...

Works for me... try copying and pasting into the browser window - make sure
you get that tilde (~)... don't write it as a hyphen (-). If it still
doesn't work, make sure the browser is set up correctly and is resolving the
server properly.
