TFX International Open Call to Artists
for Supermarket of Transformance Art

     This event is connected to a wwworldwide movement which began
staging Fests in Stockholm this past spring and will be passing through
the New York City area in September. Much like a culture twister, 
TFX will come and nine days later it will go, only to resurface somewhere
else and under a different guise.
     Original Art priced at supermarket levels is an alternative to
buying repro prints and posters  of old masters or the famous  in the
"art world".This show aims to present this idea in a familiar commercial
atmosphere, the supermarket, complete  with supermarket signs and
sounds.The art supermarket will be a parody of this consumerist age  by
packaging small artwork in much the same way as supermarket products are
packaged.
     Artists are invited to submit work and join in this three day event
taking place in September on Friday the 10th, Saturday the 11th and
Sunday the 12th.
The show will be located at Lotus Club, 317 Church Street, N.Y.C., N.Y.
(Btwn Lispenard Street and White Street. One block south of Canal Street.)


Guidelines
There is no entry fee.
Deadline for submitted work is September 1st. 1999.
Maximum 2d size - 12" x 12" --- Maximum 3d size - 12" x 12" x 12"
Smaller works are preferable.
All art work must be signed.
Art work must be ready to place on shelf like a supermarket item.
A minimum of five multiples or similarly packaged pieces.
Include your price per piece.
All artwork will be sold  or returned.(a receipt will be issued upon
arrival.)
Show organizers  will receive a 50 % commission.
Artist will receive 50% on sold pieces .(In check form.)

Unsold artwork will be returned by mail within two weeks after Sept.

Artwork that is to be picked up must be picked up on Sept. 13,1999 @
