Where can I find giftoascii or bmptoascii converter?

Hi all, I know I've seen programs to convert standard graphics formats to ascii art but I can't seem to find any anymore and I don't see any mention of them in this newsgroup, can anyone tell me where they are, or give me any names to search for? Actually, I did see the SGI "toascii" program which converts .rgb (I think) files to ascii but I was hoping to find something for Win95 or at least DOS. Thanks in advance.
