Ok, 10 years after doing my last ANSI art for a BBS MOTD, I decided to take
a stab at ASCII art. Here is my first attempt. Obviously, the oval could
use a little (ok, a lot of) refining.
Questions, comments, rude remarks welcome...

Often when one makes a picture which is meant to look very much like something, with very specific shapes (especially rounded shapes), one tends to end up with a pile of dots. The thing to do then is to step away from reality and try to make the picture look good _in ascii_, with more lines and less "dottiness". If there is text involved (e.g. in a logo like this) it's sometimes more important to make it _readable_ than to make it look exactly like the original. I'm not even attempting to make something perfect here, just replacing dots with lines: > ___________ > 1 ___.------' `-----.__ > 2 _..' _.--.__ ________.-. `--._ > 3 .-' .' .' `---._.-' `-. > 4 .' `--' /_.' ./' `. > 5 | _. `--/` ___ .___. _.-.// | > 6 \ // .' .' `'`| `.' / / > 7 `.
