The program I use is called "notepad"- :)
You really don't need much more than a text
 editor with a fixed-width font...
However, you'll be able to find some info at the FAQ:

If you have Windows NotePad works like a dream. Just let your fingers
do the walking.

Do you mean your .sig? It looks fine to me. Maybe you need to change the
font in your newsreader to a fixed width font, such as Lucida Console or
Courier New. I'm afraid I don't know how to change fonts in Outlook Express
though - perhaps someone else can help?

you should use a Newsreader and not OE, then it will be correct ;)

Hi,

> you should use a Newsreader and not OE, then it will be correct ;)

Well, it looks fine for me, and i'm using OE.

For magicien: Go to the options dialog, there to 'Read' (I think) and then
lick on Fonts. There you should select a monospaced font (like Courier New
or Lucida Console) for both proportional and monospaced fonts. Then
everything should appear correctly. (If the Names of the controls aren't
corect, please forgive, for I haven't downloaded the English language pack
yet).

it looks fine for me ... but i always use fixed-width fonts
there is a program that comes in the same package as FigWin2beta
called AnyFont.exe
this program will convert ascii-art to be viewable using proportional
spaced fonts - it does this by inserting spaces 'intelligently' so
that everything still lines up

Yeah, well. It tries to. It will only look ok for that one font you wanted
it to look ok for.

yep ... that is the main problem with proportional fonts
and i don't actually use the tool described above
altho' i have tried it just to see what it does
the description was from it's own 'blurb'
