ASCII spirals?

Is it possible to do a spiral using ASCII characters?  It would have to be as
small as possible, and preferably not more than 10 lines.  I can't manage,
but I've seen some amazing things from you folks.  If you can manage this
herculean task, please mail me the results.  Thanks!

With the great NORMAND VELLIUEX at the keyboard ANYTHING is possible!
