I think it was good Usenet style to discuss a text before it is
posted as a FAQ-like thing. How about coming back to that nice 
habit?

PC's so called FAQs have two major disadvantages : the Copyright FAQ 
doesn't belong here at all and the Guide to Find Ascii Art is more a
Guide to avoid finding the obvious Ascii Art sites.

I didn't see a point in discussing that with PC but with you this
is of course different.

Well, I do worry. FAQ documents seem to be the biggest "noise source"
in a.a-a at the moment. I'd agree with Matthew that _one_ FAQ should
suffice and presumably this would be his. Other information can
be very well put on web sites. I wish we could get that organised
a bit better too. Eg Joan's homepage can be dead slow from over
here, so I personally would not really waste 15 minutes to download
a FAQ. The best solution is as usual having several places to
download the main material. 

In short: I believe that we have to get rid of all but one FAQ, which 
should contain pointers to other documents, preferably more
than one URL for every document. But this should not be the end
but the beginning of a discussion.

I found the Copyright FAQ at DejaNews. I have it copied to my HD. If you
want it, send me an e-mail and I send it back. I haven't found his Guide
to Finding ASCII Art... yet.
