I used to post them in alt.ascii-art but now there is
rec.arts.ascii too.

One says it's THE ascii-art newsgroup.

It only means to me that I have now, whith both newsgroup,
twice as much to read. But unfortunately there is not twice as much
drawings to see. Could someone explain that to me?

Moderator's Note: Rec.arts.ascii is a moderated Big 7 newsgroup. In theory,
it is better propagation thruout the Usnet community and has a much better
Signal to Noise ratio. Rec.arts.ascii has become a best of alt.ascii-art,
for those that hate to wade thru all the spams/noise/etc...

In theory would be the keywords I guess, since oddly enough, my primary
ISP gets alt.ascii-art, but not rec.arts.ascii. Wierd, huh? This is
not a complaint however, rather a question -- Anyone have suggestions
on how to go about remedying this matter? Ie. I'd like very much to
get rec.arts.ascii through my primary ISP, how should I go about it?
CAN I, even? Any and all suggestions appreciated. I agree wholeheartedly
about the Signal to Noise ratio. *needs to learn to make a kill file*
Sorry about the lack of ascii-art here, all of myne is packed up on
a friend's computer atm, will repost when I get it back. :) (I'm not
brave enough to try and diddle something on the spot!) Thanks, Mary.

Moderator's Note: Ask your local sysadm to add it. Either sysadm@
or netnews@ can add a newsgroup to your local active file.

Yes, confusing, isn't it?
Send your data to alt.dev.null - it is not moderated and will take anything.

We could tell you - but then we'd have to kill you.

Send a request to your news admin and ask him to add the newsgroup.
Works for me. :-)

You can say that again!

Sven, that is just plain RUDE! Joris Bellenger does beautiful and clever
work; it certainly doesn't belong in <alt.dev.null>. Would you please
contribute something to this group other than snide remarks?

I know the above comment is your idea of a joke. With the violence that
permeated the lives of so many people in recent times, I doubt many
people find such references funny. I know I don't.

Um, just one question... "clever" applied to ascii-art? I don't get it.

I know the above signature is your idea of a joke. With the dyslexia
that permeates the lives of so many people in recent times, I doubt many
people find such references funny. I know I don't.

I think the above work by Joris Bellenger is clever; you may have a
different opinion; whether or not something is clever is a subjective
judgement at best.

Now I don't get it, and I DID look it up. Dyslexia is the inability to
read understandingly due to a central lesion in the brain. The above
.sig was not meant as a joke; I was suggesting that Sven Guckes does not
know as much as he thinks he does. I have reason to believe that opinion
is not unique in this group.
