How to find ASCII Art

One can easily find ascii art on the net these days. For example, typing "ascii figlet" and "ascii batman" in yahoo's search engine gives you plenty of hits, see below. It may be a good idea to mention this search option in one of the FAQs that we have or write a mini FAQ a la Martin Atkins with a title such as "How to find ASCII Art" (and which includes a few words on sig-generators/figlets and the like.) People with access to newsgroups usually have access to the web as well. Requestors may find what they want a lot faster, and a lot closer to their own needs, by way of an active search encompassing the entire net, rather than by (a more or less passive) posting of a request to a single newsgroup. (This is slowly being recognized in other newsgroups as well.) I think that most people can read the directions found at various search engines sites... most net-savvy people know about search engines... and if they don't, it isn't alt.ascii-art's job to teach them... (IMO) (Some example search engine sites.. Yahoo, Hotbot, Excite, Infoseek, Northern Lights, WhatUSeek, AltaVista, Lycos... And some meta-search engines sites... Mamma, Dogpile, AskJeeves, Metacrawler, GoTo, Snap, Goo, Webcrawler....) Oh Gosh, there are tons more of search engines... and if you don't find what you are looking for, be sure to check another-- Search engines only list sites that are registered with them...
