haven't seen 'Babette's Feast.' You should...if only to see what
cinema -can- be like when a movie isn't targeted at 18-year-old

some of the more 'art-sy' video stores in San Diego. Go for it,

For the price of 10 bar drinks, you could buy a functional
'pre-owned' 13-inch TV and a VCR. Why not try staying
sober for one or two nights, and spend the equivalent money

TV was in its early days hyped much like "The Information Superhighway" and then it got commercialized and sucked. Just like the Internet. But with the net you still have the option of creating content. No such option exists on TV for that to happen. The ones who are married hate their life because the made very poor decisions on what would be "fun". I was not meant to have kids. Neither were they. But I knew I wasn't and avoided the possibility like the plague. None of them own a home. You try buying a home in San Diego and you will understand why.
