Hmm since the dansih word is dromedar and I can find the word dromedary in the source I'm guesssing the english name is dromedary. Btw what does THIS script show when executed ? A quick look tells me that since the source contains words such a camel and dromedary and camelhumps it is some sort of wordplay or educational lessson explain that this is really a dromedary since it only have one hump .. But that's just a guess.

So the rest of you can remember...
Dromedaries are 1-humped chumps,
Bactrians though - they have have 2 humps,
But I swear on gilt enamel
There isn't any 3-humped camel! (with apolgies to Ogden Nash)
But if anyone wants to asciify a 3-humper... please - be my guest!
----
Many folk will recall the original Nash ditty:
The one-L lama, he's a priest,
The two-L llama, he's a beast,
But I'll bet a silk pyjama
There isn't any three-L lllama.
It has been told me that they DO have these in Chicago - when a big enough
fire breaks out that they need 3 engines (or more) to attend, it's known
in the fire service there as a "three-alarmer"!
Anyway, the Nash poem isn't much of a mnemonic, because you still might mix
up the first 2 lines of the poem quite easily. So for a true mnemonic, recall:
"Double the number of L's, and double the number of Legs!"
=======================================================
Not bad eh? (My own.)
And, of course, it would make a lllama some sort of insect!
For a mnemonic on the camels, just remember that bactrians, from Bactria,
i.e. mostly Afganistan, have more hills on them, to go with the hilly
terrain there, (especially as opposed to Arabia!!)
So now you know. And let's see a pic of that 3-humper...

(Sorry for the delay) Or for a better mnemonic, Dromedary camels have on hump. The letter D has one hump. Bactrian camels have two humps; the letter B has two humps. Imagine the first letter in the camel's name lying down on the camel's back. Sincerely, Peter Henderson pet...@usa.net

Oh how brilliant! And how obvious, (that it should have been), like most
brilliant things are obvious, once you see them. Yes, a perfect mnemonic!
So now, all we need is a nice pic of a three-humped camel.
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeezze?
This pic should be diddlable. Where are the wildlife experts?

Bother it - I've gone and done it myself.

The Dromedary has one hump,
The Bactrian's a two-humped chump,
But you can write on hard enamel
There never was a three-humped camel! (NOT Ogden Nash!)
So in view of the mnemonic above, I dub this an Exterran camel...

Yes it should. You don't mind if I diddle my initials back in? Whoever

We stay two-humped today though.
