I am at a loss... I'm trying to answer a trivia question about German
mythology-- and I can't find the solution... I've searched the search
engines... and still can't find the answer. I know this doesn't have to
do with ASCII art, but I know many of you have used my pics, and I
am asking a favor in return...
A serpent with a magic stone in his head can be found at the roots
of a certain tree. What kind of tree?
I need an answer VERY soon... if anyone can help me-- I would
appreciate it!
and some ASCII art:

>Thus the oak was sacred to the Celts, the ash to the Scandinavians, the >lime-tree to the Germans, the fig-tree to India. Well, I'm not happy about it, but the answer was "hazel"-- Apparently, despite all the websites and the library sources which say that the world tree is an ash, there is one website that has the tree listed as a hazel-- and that's the source which the question used... Believe me, I have razed a bit of a stink about it... this webmaster doesn't know their ash from a hole in the ground... or better yet, has their head up their ash... I play a "fun" online trivia game at: http://www.momsonline.com/sphinx.asp Veronica knows, as I have queried her on Norse mythology... I appreciate the help from all... Thanks... And if I get stuck again, I *might* just post another off-topic message (although I will add some ASCII art!) -joan -- () __ ///\ joan stark () _./////_ _ <spu...@juno.com> .-' __'-. //\ () / (o) \\ === \//// } // `` -=((( ASCII ART GALLERY: `\ ---. /\\\\ <http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/7373/> '\'.`/_____.;' '-' `-` `\/ jgs
