deLURKing, star, MCE, bear, question

  I've been reading this ng for quite a while now, enough of this
*u*king around!  and I'm sure that you can guess what I mean by
reading my subject line.  That incredible waterfall a little while
back inspired me to do this "stellated dodecahedron" as seen in
Escher's _Order and Chaos_ and in _Gravity_ .  Now who can tell me
what a stellated rhombic dodecahedron is ... ?

Anyway I'm a big Escher fan and am interested in any other Escheresque
ascii art. any suggestion ?  The only other one I've seen so far that
I really liked is a tiling using this bear :

A dodecahedron is made approx as follows: on a sheet of card draw a 
regular pentagon with similar pentagons on each of its sides.  Cut
between these "petals" and fold them down to meet makes a kind of
ashtray thingie with five points at the edges; and you can stand
it above an upside down copy of the same thing, point touching
point. Now rotate 1/10th circle and join together -- dodecahedron.
Twelve pentagonal faces (1 on top, ring of 5, ring of 5, 1 bottom);
see earlier discsussion on the platonic solids.

Stellated == grow a 5sided pyramid upon each pentagonal face.
