Cat-like thingy-wotsit

An attempt to draw one of those (meer?) - something - cats.
Can't seem to do the body right...  I need to have a pic to work form.
Can anybody else complete it?

Usually when I've seen meerkats at the zoo, they don't have an arm up.
They seem to stand at attention with there arms down -sort of like this:
