Software to convert pictures to ASCII

Is there a software for PC that convert a bitmap picture into ASCII ?

I had one before on my Amiga.

Try immediately MosASCII wich convert an image into HTML text (including colors)
at http://elitemrp.net/mos/index.html
Else, a simple soft to convert a bitmap into ASCII (freeware) at :

 You bet! I have a program called Email Effects, which you can get at
www.sigsoftware.com. That's the only program I know of that will turn Bitmap

Could you please tell me where to get an Amiga one from, though, if you have the
details. It's way too tedious sorting out IFF => bitmap => ASCII => sort out the
line breaks.

Look in aminet, e.g. http://us.aminet.net/aminet - there are several
search-tools and you should find, what you�re looking for.

It�s me again. I found 2 pretty nice programmes that convert Amiga-ILBM
(IFF) to ASCII. The first one�s name is Iff_to_ASCII and should be
ifftoasc.lha in Aminet. The other one is AsciiArtProV4(.lha). Both are
PD or FW and work even on newer Amigas.

I had one called LetterMatcher, but that was for a different purpose..
It took solid b/w logos and made Amiga ASCII out of them..

Maybe I can dig it up for anyone who's interested.. I seem to remember
it required the ability to use an IFF to RAW converter, but I think I
can find one of those too if you need one :-)

Jope - Who has had an Amiga for 11 years, three still in use and
several piled up in storage. :-)
