I of course knew you were a swimmer Joan, but never realized you got 5th at
Nationals. CONGRATS.
I never made it out of the State Finals. I was a long disitance swimmer. So
I took my show on the raod (litterall) and finished 12th in the 5th Annual
Tin Man Triathlon. Which I too suppose, wasn't too bad for a 15 year old. I
lied on the application which required me to be 18 to particpate. My mother
didn't even know I did that until we got there. When I showed up they almost
didn't let me race. My mom and I signed some paper that said they weren't
liable and something. I finished the 2.5 mile swim in 52 minutes and was 10
into the bike before anyone else was out of the water. Then I went out there
and beat some folks that finished the top half of the Ironman Triathlon that
same year.
Ahhh, the good old days when I looked like I feel. LOL I guess we will have
the memories huh Joan? Like getting last at the State Finals 2 years in a
row. *it was to say, embarrassing*
