Could you send me the asciimation you told about?
(t...@asciimator.net)

I'd like to have a look...

And have a look to www.asciimator.net... May be it can help you to
post your asciimations... As I recognized, all of them are in text
files must be scrolled... Using asciimator you can just paste and copy
frame by frame to the asciimator editor frames and then save the
animation to www.asciimator.net...

P.S. Sorry for replying un new topic... "Unable to retrieve message"
error

Received your drill animation -> cool, you definitely need to put it
into proper animation like the asciimator!

Thanks. I like the asciimator too.

Its the same old thing here: 400 things to do, enough time to do 10,
and I have to prioritise, so really spending ages on ascii art isnt
likely to hap. But if you want to play with it, put it online, youre
welcome to.

I think there's a few other animes too...
Drill
Bell
Hotel
the Clockwork mouse movie
and Star anime

I think the drill's far the best though, others not as good. The bell
one has quite a clever trick to it though.

Ha I bet it would be quicker to animate in the animator than doing it by
hand in notepad! But I guess most ppl here are ass-about-face ;)

Hello!
Thank you for sending your ascimation. I liked ??? drill! I like
asciimations without any narrative, just showing very particular thing...

Why didn't you try to copy it into asciimator?
(no time?)

P.S. As I recognized you use not only ASCII chars...

For example:

What are they? (=
Can't find how did you type it...

karaboz {"_"}

P.S. I Think it'd be able to make <import> function in asciimator... You
paste your notepad ascii in text field and in another field input the
"separator", which you've used between your asciimation "frames"

in the case of Drill it is a 15 Enter: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n)

What do you think, should it be done? or not?

I havent done any anime in a while, and not plannning to. What makes
you think youre dealing with people by the way?

Whatever system you use, you still have to tweak each frame from the
last one by hand, so I cant think how it'd b quicker. Maybe it saves a
control c control v :)

first one is same as ' but lower down, in middle, used as a small
bullet
2nd one is like , but even lower down
third is overline, _ but at the top. Thats easily replaced with ascii
_

>Can't find how did you type it...

I dont know what system youre using, but if its windows, run the
character map and pick everything from there. Its POS software of
course, just dump all the chrs into a .txt file then its easy and fast
to use. You might have to install character map, its not installed
default. Or they can be copy n pasted.

For non windows, just get a complete listing of all the characters
available in a given font. ANSI has a lot more chrs than ASCII, I've
mostly done ANSI art, as I used an ANSI system, and minimum size was
much more important than universal compatibility.

A lot of my colour coded non-ascii stuff also has encoded padding so
it displays right on proportional font displays.

I'm not sure I understand, but feel free to import it if you want to.
I'm too busy these days.
