I think this has been asked before but I don't remember if a consensus
was reached about it. A QUICK glance at the FAQ didn't reveal an answer
either...
What is everyone's opinion on MOVING credits on ASCII art (NOT REMOVING
IT!)
A perfect example would be the cat in my sig file. Suppose I liked the
credit better this way:
/)-._
Y. ' _]
,.._ |`--"=
/ "-/ `.\
/) | |_ `\|___
\:::::::\___/_\__\_______\ sk
Please note: I am not talking about pictures that have the credit
integrated into the picture. (An example would be Joan Stark's dollar
bill picture.)

/ "-/ `.\ stupidity.

I am reminded though of an email I received a long time ago (close to 3 years ago) when I first started making the ASCII pics. I don't remember who offered me this tidbit of info, but I think it is useful. I was told: When signing your ASCII pics, add the initials to the 'left' of the picture. If they are on the right, it is very easy for people to 'snip' them off when copying to repost. Of course, people might still snip them off if they are on the left. However, the person who does that has to make a conscious effort to do so-- and replace the area with spaces. This seems to make sense to me. -joan -- .-. __ _ .-. | ` / \ | / '.()--, joan stark | '._/ spu...@juno.com _| O _ O |_ =\ '-' /= ASCII Art Gallery jgs '-._____.-' http://www.ascii-art.com
