Does anyone have an ASCII Ham?

Thanks, Michele

Sorry, I don't have any ASCII Ham but I just wanted to say...
Finally, somebody else who KNOWS HOW TO SPELL "Michele"
Do you also have problems finding pre-personalized stuff with your name
spelled correctly?

Good luck with your ham,
Michele

Judging from his email address, Michele Cerulli lives in Italy... and as
far as I know, that's the common spelling for the name there (the
English equivalent is "Michael"), so it shouldn't be a problem for him
;)

What may be the wrong conclusion in one country can be the right in another.
F.x the name "Kim" around here is a masculine name , somewhere else it could
be a feminine name.

Around here "Michele" would be a girls name , but if Phillip Newton is
correct .. and I'm sure he is .. then it's likely a guys name in this case.

My name is Christian, an internationally well know name.
Many countries use this name and with many different pronounciations.
I pronounce it the danish way, but it really don't matter that much to me if
people pronounce it in english , german , french, spanish , swedish .. etc
What matters is that everybody have SOME form of pronounciation of it (so I
won't have to explain how it's pronounced) and they know it's a masculine
name.

I also like the fact that you can't tell which part of the world I come from
by my name.
You could probably tell my religion though.

Yep, Phillip is correct I am Italian and I am a boy.

Well, we have also italian versions for your name:
- Cristiano
- Cristiana

The first one is masculine, the second one is feminine, I guess that how
in Italian it is enough to change the last letter (in general "o"=masculine
and "a"=feminine) of any word, then we have both versions of most names.
Actually the feminine for "Michele" is "Michela"

Michele

On the other hand:
Andrea is a boys name in Italy although it ends in "a" ;)

in Germany, Andrea is is a girl. The boys name would be Andreas or Andre.

Dominic/Dominik is male while Dominique is female (at least in most places)
I think it is Domenico/a in Italian, no?

Cheerio,
       Dominic

True, Andrea is Masculine in Italy, as Michele, which doesn't end in
"a" neither in "o".

By the way, I would had never imagined that my name was going to
inspire such an active discussion: I think I am going to add "talk
about my name" on the list of things to do when I want to approach a
girl, she might be interested in it .... or she might think that I am
agirl ... uhm ... there must be something wrong in my reasonment....
