Depends on what you mean by "shading". A lot of people here are reading these posts on terms where the background is black and the ascii is white. So for us it is already shaded. Not many windows users are ascii doers. If you was to take alook from the bottom left up toward the right it does narrow giving a somewhat perspective view. OE --Proofing solution After numerous problems that I had my solution was to switch to a different newsreader.
