There`s this absolutely beautiful picture on the wall above my computer that
I`ve been wanting to make an ascii of for ages. I finally found the creative
energy and finished it at 4:10AM. I seem to do ascii art much better at night
without the hustle and bustle of family life, no little bugg.. er, *brothers*
running around screaming and no my mum saying 'will you do <insert the most
boring household chore here> for me please?'. I guess at night I feel calm,
and collected. I channel my energy into a serious pic. and here it is... the
original pic was by someone called 'E. Stephens' although I changed quite a
bit of it so I didn`t credit him/her on the pic...

That's quite a good ASCII landscape, Martin. It's hard to mould those separate items to a whole, even when you draw of a model. (ever since I had a try at a landscape, I fancy myself to be an expert ;) Here are some thoughts: 1. The pic's a bit pale. Try adding contrast by putting in a shade here and there. 2. The perspective's a bit weak. By darkening (and sharpening) the objects in the foreground, and making the background dotty on purpose, there should be a stronger effect.
