They arent too hard to find if you search for signature at
Download.com or some other shareware download site. There are a few
around that do random sigs in email. The trick is to find one that
works with your email client, especially if you don't use one of the
popular ones.

Ah, you should pick up SigChanger then from http://www.xs4all.nl/~fwolsink/
It's freeware, but the author likes you to register (still for free) so that he
has an idea of how many people are using his program.

As for myself, I use SchizoSigz v2.0 by CyberTropix (freeware), it's from
1998, I'm not sure they still exist or have a web page.

Hey, PP! What if I don't want to change, but just to have a batter one than
OE?

ok i took this on your advice...
4 things..
First it gives an illegal exception or something on starting on my win2k pc.

second it gives "This signature was made by SigChanger" randomly, which is
unacceptable.

third it leaves 2-3 lines before th e varialble signature which i hate. i
dunno if it does that to u too.
makes the sigs unnecessarily long.

fourth it doesn't seem to change on a per mail basis, but on a time basis.
anyone know of a program that does that? I would prefer something that
doesn't need to sit in the tray all day.
if such exists..damit i want to avoid writing one for myself. aargh!

i have yet to try the other's suggestions :-)

Thanks guys.

He was making a parody on James Bond.

In one of the movies (can't remember which one .. but it's one with Pierce
Brosnan as Agent 007 ) Bond asks Enerst Blofeld :

Bond : Do you expect me to talk ?

Blofeld : No Mister Bond .. I expect you to die !

But I most clearly remember it from Moby's Extended Dancemix , the most
awesome Bond-based mix.
It rules.

It's from the album "Moby's Reversion" , you might be able to find it in a
record store somewhere or as an Mp3 on the net - I have it as an MP3 ripped
from my brothers CD (which is legal in my country)

Kind Regards

I was a bit fast there - I just listened to Moby's Extended Dancemix again and
found that although Pierce Brosnan start the song by saying " Bond .. James
Bond " it is in fact Sean Connery that speaks the words "Do you expect me to
talk?" .. which places the movie much sooner (i thought it was sooner too ..
something didn't add up - Now I know what)
So it's from a James Bond movie starring Sean Connery.

Easy. Write a litte script that prints a random signature, using "fortune".
Let's assume that script is called "s". Next, in the recource-file of your
mailer (my mailer is mutt, so the file I need here is ".muttrc"), is al line
something like:
set signature="~/.signature" # file which contains my signature
You just have to change this to:
set signature="| ~/bin/s"
and you're up and running.

SigChanger works with every e-mail client that can read its sig from a file, so
OE does too, but not automagically.
If you configure OE so that a sig will be automatically inserted, it will by
default end up at the top of an e-mail, just as with any other sig in OE.
But if you insert a sig manually, it will end up at the bottom (or wherever your
cursor is when you press "Insert signature")

Seing this got me to add the Insert Signature to my toolbar .. much better
now.
And this in turn gave me an idea .. using the signature function as a way to
store clipart , ascii pieces or common phrases as signatures.

This way you had easy access to them.

I even like the way the dropdown menu works if you have more then one
signature .. an idea for Jave's clipart function.

Try KookieJar: http://www.lodz.pdi.net/~eristic/free/index.html

Freeware.
Very small, very flexible, and if you set it to generate a new signature
every minute, you should pretty much get a new signature for every mail.
Works with every client that can insert a signature from a file.
Alternatively, you can copy the signature to the clipboard and paste it.
