Um, heres my contribution, I out-line some bricks to make the walls more
textured, and I put chains on the draw bridge (They've gotta get the bridge back up somehow) I
don't know if I like the chains, they take away from the arch of the door which I thought was
one of the nicer parts of the picture.....I guess it is the artists decision if he wants them
up ther or not.

#:7)-|-< Geech wrote: > > Hmmmm..... do you like the minor rediddle? Idon't know, has a billboard been over used?? Geechstein, There is nothing wrong with using a billboard as such, it comes all down _how_ you do the pic. Since you have repeatedly asked for feedback without me seeing any sofar, here is some feedback from me. The name "Geech" on the billboard could be made more legible. Use at least two or three spacings between the letters, broadening the billboard as necessary. The horizontal in the "G" should probably be at midlevel in this 5 line font. The "H" looks like an "N". The other letters as they are now are really subject to the stilistic preferences of the individual, listen to your own inner little voices in these cases. The "swilli.slkc.uswest.net" in the bottom panel of the billboard is incorrect. Put your exact email address in there. The "Give us ..." saying as it is positioned right now, is a disjointed add-on and needs better integration into the overall pic. One way of doing it is to place the entire saying on ground level to indicate the ground level as such. This also allows for an easy way for changing the saying every now and then without changing the basic layout of the pic, only the ground level becomes wider or shorter with the length of the saying. Add grass blades here and there (or add something else) to fluff things up. Text has a petrifying effect in ascii pics, i.e. in this case a pure line of text and nothing else will look like barren ground. The above feedback assumes that the prime objective of the pic/sig is to convey contact information and the secondary objective is to have some embellishments. Some pics/sigs have their priorities/objectives just the other way around. I am not saying good or bad, I am just saying where the suggestions made in the above will lead you to. Liking extreme simplicity myself, I would like it. ======================================================== [] . + . [] [] \^|^/ Visit the Gallery of the 'steins! Yeah - I'm afraid it doesnt really work. The chains just block out the detail.
I think its probably the same with the blocks - it wouldn't look right unless
you could seen them in places all over the castle, which is obviously
impossible to do. Anybody want to try someone standing on the battlements?
