How do I View .VT.Z Files?

I've been trying to view this files but it won't work. Can someone please
help me how to view them.

   Use the Unix compress command to get rid of the .Z extension
 
   compress -d <filename>

   This will give you a .vt file

   Then do a 

    cat <filename.vt>     

    To display it...   Don't use 'more' ... Just don't...
