If an artist decided that they really wanted to protect their art they
could take advantage of the current copyright laws.  Currently, if a
work is made it is assumed that the author or creator intends to copy
write the work and you should regard all work as such.  In the old days,
unless you included the copy write indication, it was assumed the it was
not protected.  You can copy write each piece, or you can put several
works in a collection and copy write the entire thing.   I do think that
the rules suggested make a lot of sense.  I am not very artistic, but I
do enjoy reading the postings to this news group to see what others have
come up with.

Also, I think for an unmoderated group this is one of the best managed
newsgroups I've come across.
