I post often using the acute accent mark (which is among the extended
character set) as my apostrophe/quote character (I use the grave accent,
which is under 127, for the other quote). Also, I've seen many people with
accented letters in their names post using the accents (Such as Mar�a).
I've also seen use of the bullet character �, and others. 

I've never seen any problems caused by this, except sometimes the chars get
mistranslated, coming out as little boxes or other odd characters (I once
had all my acutes turn into Yen symbols).
