It is a UPO!

They are sighted on this newsgroup from time to time.

I guess it's time to call Mulder and Scully in on this one,
and have them initiate an FBI X-file.

Of course, the left most portion somewhat resembles a tire tread...
So maybe it is part of a vehicles suspension.
Or if we were to couple it with the other UPO that frequents this
newsgroup, maybe they spell out a hidden message!
