My newsreader is capable but > then again, > I'm using a superior Amiga newsreader ;-). I use Pine 4.02A for BSDI 3.1, via a dialup shell account that I call with my Commodore 128 and a high speed modem. Highlighting methods like these were in common use before Fidonet, and certainly before any programs were able to interpret them. These fall under the defintion of ASCII art, as the meanings of the characters (slashes, *'s and _'s) doesn't really change any - they just tell the user this word would normally appear highlighted on other media. Sorta like using ALL CAPS when you want to shout at someone. :) > Amiga? Lordy, are those things still around! :) ...and one would think the Commodore64 was dead too :) -- ___________________________________________________________________ | . . | * http://www2.southwind.net/~natedac/ * | | _ _ _|_ _ _| _ _ |-----------------------------------------| | |/ \`_| | /_)/ |`_|/ ` | GCS d- s++:++ a-- C++ UB>++ P+ L>++ !E | | | |(_| \_ \_ \_|(_|\__ | W++ N++ K- w--- M- V?
