   Remember, before Internet ASCII style art, people were making 5 bit 
ASCII art on teletype machines.  And before that it was made 
typographically.  And then there's the art made with tiles or light 
bulbs.  I've even seen a huge picture made with tiles that were 
themselves pictures.
