From ancient Greek myth and probably older than that as well for they are more powerful than the gods even though in Greek myth they came into being after some of the more powerful gods. If you can find a version of The Castration of Uranus on the web you can get a feel for their origin. If you want a really good telling of them in more modern settings check out The Sandman Graphic Novels which you can get in any comic book store even though the series was cancled 6 years ago it still is printed and sells enough to pay the electricity bills of most comic shops. The following is for any reader that has something against comic books. I please do keep in mind that the forwards are done by people like Stephen King, Clive Barker, Tori Amos and Harlen Elson (sp?). It has reappearing characters like Shakespeare, the Three Fates, and even Confusous (again sp?). It has even won awards that comic books can not even be nominated for anymore because all of those _real_ writers where pissed off that some _picture_book_ up-staged them. -- +-(faux@fugozi)-(0.05|0.10|0.09)-(18:47|Sat Apr 06)-+ cat ~/.{sig,uin} It's a damn poor mind that can only think of one way to spell a word. - Andrew Jackson UIN=66618055
