For years I used to keep a case of ramen in the house as a just in
case measure.  About a year ago I gave it away.  Now I only have two
bags.  I just couldn't justify the space it was taking up when our
food budget was/is $200 a week for two people and that doesn't even
include the two meals we eat out each week.  

It seems just like 8 years ago I was living in Oceanside CA,
unemployed, getting $145 a week from unemployment and living off of
ramen and allowing myself a carne asada burrito every three days. 

That was about just before I got my first computer and a year or so
before I started lurking here.
