Sorry about this one being late. But we had to turn off the computers
last night because the lightning had gotten within 5 miles of the
house.
Which reminds me. I spent 21 of the last 22 years living in a place
that almost never experiences electrical storms. In January of this
year I move to a place that has them at least once a month. A few
months ago I had mentioned that we had to do the same thing we did
last night, turn off the comps because the lightning was within five
miles of the house. Someone who had lived here their whole life said
"how did you know it was that close?".
I was amazed. Here is someone who has lived with lightning storms
their whole life, has lost 2 TV's and who knows what other equipment
to lightning and they had no idea that you could tell how far away the
strikes were. I think it comes down to one of two things:
1) the locals are so used to lightning that they don't notice it and
don't mind having to replace their electrical equipment every once in
a while.
2) the locals are just unconsciously fulfilling their duty as being
perceived by the rest of the country as the dumbest people on earth.

I have no idea what that thing is. I just typed it up during work one
day. I had the vauge goal of doing a snow man. But I wanted it to
have wings or some kind of background to it. So I just mixed the two.
