Okay, here's the process: I draw the 80 pixel wide GIF, one time only, in a VGA paint program. To convert the GIF to ANSI I use a FREEWARE program called POSTER (it's the best I've ever used). To convert the same GIF to ASCII I have to strip all of the colors out of the picture (I usually draw the picture in black outlines and then color it in, so I don't have to re-draw anything because I already have the black lines there that make the picture). I use DOSGifscii21.exe (in the conversion, I specify the output be 79 columns - a leftover habit from BBSs). Actually, come to think of it, DOSGifscii21 has an option to reverse (make a negative picture) the ASCII during the conversion, so you can forget the bit about making a negative image before conversion. Now, to completely confuse you, I did this conversion that has nothing to do with what we are talking about, and I did it in a completely different way :) haha. I just copied and pasted into Email Effects (it's on my Christmas list this year, I hope Santa can shell out the 16 bucks for it). Of course, I diddled in the bottom part. . . . but in some other alternate Universe, I'm POSITIVE they are there. hahaha Conversion'`' ' ' ' :~``'':::;::;:;:::::::;::::: ' '' `'`' ' '' ' ''; ' ' ' :::::::::;:;:~;;: : '' ' ' ' ' '' :$@ ' ' '` `::;::;;::;:;:;:;; `: ' : '` ' ' ' ' ~#@@@@j ' '::;:;:;::;::;;;:;; `:`:'::`: : :`'``:@#@@@@@!
