mmm... i still prefer the way version 3 browsers render table and pre
 tags .. plus version 4 browsers are very memory hungry ...
the version 4 anim breaks the browser by re-rendering the page your
viewing .. so .. even tho' its loaded into the memory buffer and the
comms line can be dropped the browser thinks its still on-line because
 it hasn't finished painting the page yet ... stupid
.. so i had to make it so it runs once and then stops ... thus giving
 control back to the user
