On Sat, 24 Jun 2000 18:46:22 +0100, Ben Norwood <bdn...@aber.ac.uk> provoked the
following text:

>: No, a rimshot is when you hit the rim (the edge if you will) of the

Correct, but non-drummers rarely get to see that part of a snare. That's why i
left it out.

>My personal favourite amongst drums is the timpani (even larger than,
>and a million times more deadly than, the bass drum!)

If you tune a floortom right, you can make it sound like a timpani.

Now you know why i left that the way it was :-))

By the attitude of it, i'd say it's a ride, but i rather have it on a boom-stand
like this:

       .
 ,----'-`----.           ,,,,
       d--------O-------|###|
                |        ''''
                |
                |

that's very small indeed!

There, that's more like my size :-))

I prefer my toms attached to the basedrum, like this:

  _       _
.' `. . .' `.
|`-'|-+-|`-'|
`._,' | `._,'
    ,---,
   '     '
  |       |
  |       |
   ,     ,
   /'---'\

So i guess we have our drumkit complete now:

_,-'-,_
   |   _       _   ,-|-,
   | .' `. . .' `.',___,'
   | |`-'|-+-|`-'|   |
   ||`._,' | `._,'   |.
  =====_____-,     ,--+--,
   || |_____| ' ,----, \
   ||  | |     ||''''|  o
   ||  | | O   ||    |  |\
   ||   ,| |  , |____|  |
  //|\  /|\#-'\ |  | | /|\

Okay, don't laugh! Cymbals are very hard to draw at this scale...

>I suppose it could also be the eyes/nose of an alien...)

LOL!!! That's an open door, i cvan't wait to see who kicks it in :-)))

Is it just me, or is 2400 not as fast as it used to be?
