A series of stills played successively (like a movie). http://llizard.crosswinds.net/ascii-art/animation/animations.htm - Here are some fine examples of ASCII animations as well as a tuturial on how to make them [with HTML/javascript, I believe]. She also has links to other artist's sites. http://www.asciimation.co.nz/ - Simon Jansen's site with a partial ACII animation of Star Wars (the original). http://www.jave.de/ - Markus Gebhard's JavE - The BEST ASCII utility (animation or otherwise) available to date. There are also examples of animations done with JavE, and links to other artist's sites. http://www.aroundmidnight.demon.co.uk/asciiart/asctheat.htm - "Around Midnight ASCII Art Theatre" - I can't vouch for this editor as I haven't used it. There are a couple examples of animations done with this editor here. <advertisement> http://ice.prohosting.com/wdxl/birdshot.html - "Birdshot" - My own first [and feeble] attempt at ASCII animation. </advertisement> Hope this helps, -Phydeaux
