Whatever, but this is NOT a BBS system, this is USENET. They're still
non-ASCII characters, therefore, they're still not acceptable on this
group. The vast majority of people subscribed to this group are not
reading it through a BBS.

`Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.' If BBS software is stupid
enough to use printable ASCII characters such as | to influence its
display, I have no sympathy for the software at all.

We in the group are certainly not going to stop using the | character in
our pictures just because some silly BBS software reacts strangely to
it. As I say, the vast majority of people subscribed to this group are
not reading it through a BBS.
