I have uploaded it to http://www.jave.de/download/metal.gif I ran it through some converters in JavE. The greatest problem with this image is that the white space between two characters is only about 3 pixels, with the image being about 470 pixels wide. With a width of 80 characters for the result image the white space is about 1/3..1/2 character wide. Showing the details there is even very hard when done by hand: MM]MM MM[MM MM]MM or MM[MM ?
