I posted over a year ago here that I really didn't 'get' the 'stein-anything, 
and thought they were rather mindless. I got flamed at the time, but oh-well, 
glad to see the consensus has changed, since then :>  I think Pete's head is 
just inflated beyond measure. Why anyone would -want- to steal or claim the 
characters as their own is boggling, in itself...

What I'm puzzled by is...why should we -care- about "'stein awards". You speak 
of them as if they're the nobel prize of the ASCII world.

"You got a 'Stein award?"
"Yep, isn't it fantastic!"
"Wow! Now you can be considered a -real- ASCII artist!"
