Re: How to put ascii -art on my own page.

Or you can even skip that &blah; crap, by using <xmp>!
Oh yea, and another thing, many browsers use a non-fixed font for it, like
Netscape, so use <tt></tt> too.

So, here's how his drawing would look:

 <tt><xmp>
    |||||
   | o o |
   |  >  |     .--- I'm HTML-ified!
   | \_/ | ---'
    \___/
 </xmp></tt>

Oh yea, and another cool thing about HTML-based ascii is those extra tags! <blink>
(watch out!, IE doesn't care about the HTML standards and doesn't use this (Why
the heck are you using M$'s Borg software anyways?!? Get Netscape!))
Also, there's a <font color=purple></font>, replacing purple with any color or
color code you want!

| 1. Enclose the ASCII Art in <PRE> tags, thus:
|
| <PRE>
|    |||||
|   | o o |
|   |  >  |     .--- I'm HTML-ified!
|   | \_/ | ---'
|    \___/
| </PRE>
|
| 2.
|   Replace occurances of...        With...
|           <                         &lt;
|           >                         &gt;
|           &                         &amp;
|
| Thus...
|
| <PRE>
|    |||||
|   | o o |
|   |  &gt;  |    .--- I'm HTML-ified!
|   | \_/ | ---'
|    \___/
| </PRE>
|
| See? :o)
|
| Hope this helps,
