I would bet money that your opinion of having a pet is in the minority
and there is nothing wrong with that. If it makes you happy then great.
But I just can't see a pet demanding attention when they want it. 

If I wanted to fill your description of a pet, I'd rather have a child
instead of a cat. *S* There is just no way I will let my life get ran by
a cat and most cat owners I know, are not in charge of their homes.

Besides a dog will go running with you and play out on the river and
woods with you. They will just be there for you when you need them most.

Psychiatrists say that a dog is the best thearpy for a manic depresent.
Dogs help blind people live a more normal live. But that cat CAN catch
mice...LOL...so do some mouse traps, and they don't cop attitudes.

I hope you know I'm just playing around here, I think all animals have a
great purpose in life.
