Help re: news group

Hi all:
Can anyone think of a reason I would not be getting all the messages to
this group?   I often see "Re:" posts to messages I have never seen.
And why I sometimes receive messages out of order: for instance I saw
Donovan's message "Re: Sea Turtle" this morning when I checked messages
at 10:00 a.m., but did not see Sarah Kearsley's original post until this
evening about 6:00 p.m. although I checked messages periodically during
the day.  As far as I can tell this is the only news group (I follow 5)
that this happens to.  Any guesses would be appreciated.  I am wondering
if it is my ISP, they have had trouble with my e-mail in the past.
