|But with the handle the other way around, it makes the door MORE
|difficult to open. And isn't that the whole point? I gather that this
|door behind the waterfall is for some sort of treasure hunt game and
|anyone hiding a treasure is for sure going to put the handle on the
|wrong side.
|
'-----------------------------
I think it all depends on how you look at it. With the handle effectively
being in the centre of the door's picture due to perspective (and the fact
that the door is 3chars wide) it all depends on what jund of handle it is!
Some handles poke out of the door, like so:
.---.
| | (A door, from the side)
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |.
| | |
| | |
| |'
| |
| |
| |
| |
'---'
While others extrude like this:
(door from the front)
.------------------------.
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| .------|
| | | |
| | | | << handle comes 'out' then runs along
| | | | the door.
| '------| I know this one's hard to visualise!
| |
| |
| |
| |
'------------------------'
So therefore it makes no difference which way the handle goes, it will
always look backwards from someone's imagination... which is all the
perspective is formed by, since the handle is centred. Noone can be sure of
which side of the door the handle is on.
